Thomas and Hutton Announces Two Landscape Architecture Team Promotions

Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned
professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, is pleased to announce the promotions of John Garceau, PLA and Caitlin Burwinkel, PLA within the firm’s Landscape Architecture practice.
John Garceau, PLA, has been promoted to Landscape Architect Senior Group Leader. Having served as the Landscape Architecture Group Leader in Savannah, John is transitioning into a role focused on business development and firmwide growth. In this capacity, he will work across multiple markets to expand the firm’s landscape architecture services, strengthen client and partner relationships, and support teams throughout the regions Thomas & Hutton serves. John will remain engaged in project work while increasingly representing the firm and its capabilities across new audiences. He brings 24 years of experience spanning site planning, master planning, landscape and hardscape design, and construction administration, and holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Clemson University. Caitlin Burwinkel, PLA, has been promoted to Landscape Architecture Group Leader for the Savannah office. In this role, she provides leadership and guidance to project teams, supports high-quality project delivery, and partners with department leadership to develop staff, manage resources, and advance client relationships.
Caitlin is known for her thoughtful approach, strong project management skills, and collaborative leadership style. She brings seven years of experience across residential, mixed-use, industrial, and open space projects throughout the Southeast and holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. She is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina. T&H congratulates John and Caitlin on these well-earned promotions and looks forward to their continued leadership within the Landscape Architecture practice.
