West Construction Earns Three First-Place Honors at the 2026 AGC Build Georgia Awards

West Construction is proud to announce three first-place wins at the 2026 AGC Build Georgia Awards. This recognition reflects the skill, dedication, and commitment of their team, and their continued focus on delivering high-quality results across a diverse range of project types, from precision industrial construction to historic landmarks in the heart of Savannah.

2026 First-Place Award Recipients

C+H Precision — Richmond Hill, GA West Construction completed a 50,000 sq. ft. industrial manufacturing facility for C+H Precision in Richmond Hill, Georgia, the company's third and largest expansion to date. C+H Precision is a leading manufacturer of precision firearms components, and the project was recognized at groundbreaking by Governor Kemp and Congressman Buddy Carter.

The Cathedral Spires — Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Savannah West Construction completed a structural restoration of the iconic twin spires at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, the most extensive work performed on the cathedral in over 120 years. The very challenging project required crews working nearly 100 feet in the air to install 8.5 tons of new steel and cathodic protection inside the spires, addressing structural damage that threatened the integrity of one of Savannah's most recognized landmarks.

SCAD Hanak Hall — 612 Drayton Street, Savannah West Construction completed the adaptive-reuse renovation of Hanak Hall, an 11,000 sq. ft. four-story brick townhouse originally constructed in 1872, into a new administration building for the Savannah College of Art and Design. Listed within the Downtown Savannah Historic District since 1979, the project required careful restoration of the building's historic character while modernizing it for contemporary use.
