The 26th Annual Earth Day Festival, hosted by the City of Savannah Office of Sustainability, with the support of Lite Foot Environmental Foundation, takes place Friday, April 24, at Daffin Park—rain or shine.
This year’s theme is “Local Action. Global Impact.” and highlights the power of everyday choices and community collaboration in driving meaningful environmental change, demonstrating how efforts locally contribute to a more sustainable future worldwide. More than 60 vendors will be on site and offer activities, including interactive exhibits, live music, face painting, clothing repair, and bicycle repair. Additionally, families may enjoy kid-friendly activities, food trucks, and opportunities to learn together in a fun, welcoming setting.
Savannah’s yearly Earth Day Festival is the City’s largest environmental outreach event and a leading Earth Day–related educational gathering in Georgia. With attendees in mind, interactive workshops are designed to help incorporate sustainable practices into everyday life, and connect people with local nonprofits, businesses, and community groups focused on environmental initiatives. The festivities also offer opportunities to gather and celebrate Savannah’s environment, its people, and the vast mix of organizations working daily to improve our city.
Earth Day is free and open to the public. Volunteer opportunities are still available. Interested residents may visit
