CURE Childhood Cancer invites the community to come together for the 16th Annual Catie’s Gathering, taking place on Saturday, April 18 at Clarence Morgan Gym. Catie’s Gathering is proudly presented by title sponsor, Springfield Elementary School, whose continued support helps make this special evening possible.

This meaningful annual event honors the memory of Catie Wilkins and supports families affected by pediatric cancer, while raising critical funds for research and patient support programs. Over the past 16 years, Catie’s Gathering has become a cherished tradition in Effingham County, bringing together local families, supporters, and advocates committed to making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.

Catie’s Gathering is a special dinner featuring creatively themed tables, a silent and live auction, a raffle, speakers and entertainment. Proceeds from the event benefit Catie’s Fund of CURE Childhood Cancer which has raised over $6 million to date. The funds raised are invested in CURE’s mission with a special focus on the Precision Medicine Program, which focuses on individualized treatments based on each child’s genetic makeup—helping deliver more targeted, effective care for young patients.

“Catie’s Gathering is a powerful reminder of the strength of our community and the impact we can make together,” said Mandy Garola, Vice President of CURE, South Georgia. “Each year, this event not only honors Catie’s legacy but also brings hope to families currently facing the unimaginable.”

CURE Childhood Cancer, based in Georgia, is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through funding targeted research and supporting patients and their families. Events like Catie’s Gathering play a vital role in sustaining these efforts and moving closer to a cure.
