DeVetter Law Firm is proud to announce the addition of Lucas B. Earl as an Associate Attorney in its Savannah office, where he will support the firm’s work in probate litigation, estate planning, and client-centered legal
services.
Lucas joins DeVetter Law Firm with a diverse legal background spanning judicial clerkship, civil litigation, and criminal defense. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Superior Court of the Southwestern Judicial Circuit before spending three years in civil practice, focusing on insurance defense and labor law. Most recently, Lucas served at the Chatham County Public Defender’s Office, where he handled major crimes cases and developed a strong foundation in litigation and client advocacy.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Alabama. Lucas is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia.
Lucas was drawn to DeVetter Law Firm by its strong culture and commitment to meaningful, community-centered work. He shared that the firm’s focus on equity and providing honest representation deeply aligns with his own approach to the practice of law.
“I’m excited to join DeVetter Law Firm because I want to be a part of a team that does their best to serve the community,” said Earl.
At DeVetter Law, Lucas will focus on helping individuals and families navigate complex and often emotional legal matters. He describes effective advocacy as being “the professional that a client can lean on in difficult times, helping them understand a challenging process while in the midst of grief.” His goal is to provide strong, honest advocacy and help clients obtain what they are entitled to under the law.
“Lucas brings a combination of litigation experience, client-centered advocacy, and genuine care for the people he serves,” said Nancy DeVetter, Founder of DeVetter Law Firm. “His background and values align deeply with our mission to serve individuals and families with clarity, dignity, and compassion, and we are proud to welcome him to our team.”
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Lucas now calls Savannah home, where his family has also relocated over the past decade. Outside of the office, he enjoys music and is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, playing drums and piano while currently learning bass guitar. He is also a proud University of Alabama fan and enjoys spending time with his rescue dog, Mox.
