Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, April 2nd, 2026

Oliver Maner LLP is proud to partner with St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation as presenting sponsor of the Fourth Annual St. Vincent’s Academy Nun Run. The event will take place Saturday, April 18, at Daffin Park, with the 5k race starting at 8:00 a.m.

Participants are invited to join the hundreds of ‘nuns’ running through historic Midtown Savannah in celebration of the legacy and contributions of the Sisters of Mercy. Proceeds from the event will benefit the ongoing preservation and restoration of the 1845 Convent of St. Vincent de Paul.

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Historic District on the St. Vincent’s Academy campus, the Convent of St. Vincent de Paul was founded by the Sisters of Mercy and served as home to generations of sisters. The Sisters of Mercy played a vital role in shaping the region, establishing numerous schools and hospitals across Georgia, including St. Joseph’s Hospital (now St. Joseph’s/Candler) and St. Mary’s Orphanage.

The Nun Run welcomes runners, walkers and families of all ages to participate in this fun-filled community event. While not required, participants are encouraged to wear their best ‘nun’ attire as they race through scenic Daffin Park.

Registration is $50. All participants will receive a finisher medal, lifestyle race shirt and complimentary race photos. Registration closes April 16.

“We are excited to partner with St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation again this year for the Fourth Annual Nun Run,” said Robert W. Schivera, a Partner at Oliver Maner. “We look forward to this fun event each year and are grateful for the opportunity to support the foundation’s mission to preserve the history of the Sisters of Mercy in Savannah.”
