Savannah Attorney Sonny Seiler Posthumously Honored With Justice Robert Benham Award
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026
Last week, Frank W. "Sonny" Seiler was posthumously awarded as the District Award Honoree for the 26th Annual Justice Robert Benham Awards for Community Service.
Accepted by his family, this award recognizes a judge or a lawyer who demonstrated an extraordinarily long and distinguished commitment to volunteer participation in the community throughout their legal career.
Each year the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism, in conjunction with the State Bar of Georgia, invites nominations for the Justice Robert Benham Awards for Community Service. Judges and lawyers meet the criteria for these awards if they have combined a professional career with outstanding service and dedication to their communities through voluntary participation in community organizations, government-sponsored activities, or humanitarian work outside of their professional practice or judicial service. Contributions may be made in any field, including but not limited to: social service, education, faith-based efforts, sports, recreation, the arts, or politics.
Bouhan Falligant continues to extend our deepest congratulations and appreciation to the Seiler family for accepting this award. It is no secret the impact Mr. Seiler made in here in Savannah, across the state, or right here at Bouhan. There truly isn’t a more deserving person for this award.
