Thomas & Hutton's Nathan Long Inducted into UGA Academy of Engineering at 2026 Celebration of Exellence

Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, announces that Nathan Long, PE, LEED AP earned recognition at the University of Georgia’s 2026 Celebration of Excellence and joined the UGA Academy of Engineering.

The UGA Academy of Engineering recognizes accomplished alumni who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and impact within the engineering profession. The Academy selects members whose careers reflect meaningful contributions to industry, community, and the advancement of engineering.

Nathan, a Principal and Project Manager at T&H and a University of Georgia graduate, brings more than two decades of civil engineering experience across the Southeast. He leads multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from master-planned communities to healthcare campuses and regional infrastructure systems, supporting sustainable growth across Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry.

He delivers award-winning work at both the state and national levels, including the Hilton Head National Luxury RV Resort and the East Argent Parkway and Regional Pump Station. He integrates emerging technologies into project delivery, mentors early-career engineers, and supports the next generation of UGA engineers through ongoing involvement in capstone design partnerships that connect students with real-world projects.
