Ameris Bank celebrated the grand opening of a new branch located at 120 Drayton Street in Savannah today. Serving customers in downtown Savannah, the new branch replaces the previous Ameris location at 24 Drayton Street and offers retail, business and commercial banking services, as well as mortgage lending services. 

The new downtown branch is in the 100-year-old Standard Oil Building and offers more than 8,700 square feet of space designed to honor the historic elements of the area. The branch features a drive-up ATM, drive-up night drop, two drive-through lanes, safety deposit boxes and a city-designated passenger loading only space for brief transactions.

“This new branch reflects our long-term commitment to Savannah and the people who make this community so special,” said Lawton Bassett, Ameris Bank president. “We’re proud to invest in a space that is more accessible for our customers, and Ameris is here to build lasting relationships supporting local families and businesses as they grow and thrive.”

As a symbol of local community commitment, Ameris leadership also presented Habitat for Humanity of the Coastal Empire a $10,000 donation during the grand opening event.
