Circle of Friends Fundraising Party: Keeping Jazz Alive in Savannah May 16th

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, May 11th, 2026

The Circle of Friends Fundraising Party supports Savannah Jazz, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1981.  It brings people together who want to keep jazz alive in Savannah by funding the Savannah Jazz Festival – the largest FREE music festival in the Southeast - the annual concert series, the Savannah Jazz History & Hall of Fame exhibit, and our educational programs.

This is an informal, festive evening of great music, delicious food, fantastic cocktails, a silent auction, games, and raffle prizes—all for a great cause.

Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 6-9 pm at The Venue Savannah, located at 1446 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Ga.

“Savannah Jazz is the steward of jazz in Savannah, and central to our mission is keeping this great art form accessible to all, with more free events to the public than any other music organization in the region. The Annual Savannah Jazz Festival is our primary program, hosting over 50,000 people with more than 16 FREE top performances!  We need our friends to help us fund this event.  This party is a fun way to do that,” explains Executive Director Paula Fogarty.

This year’s Savannah Jazz Festival will honor Mr. Bob Faircloth for his 90th birthday, and his celebrations will kick off at this event. "Dedicating this event and our 2026 Festival to Mr. Bob Faircloth for his 90th birthday pays tribute to his great support and leadership of Savannah Jazz and for so many cultural arts events and organizations in Savannah,” Fogarty noted.

Upbeat music from The Savannah All-Stars, led by Teddy Adams and other inductees of the Savannah Jazz Hall of Fame, along with some very special guests, will anchor and enliven the evening.

Silent auction items include a weekend at the Pawleys Island Music Festival, a Savannah Date Night package, a stay on the sparkly beaches of Hilton Head Island, and many more!  Ticket levels range from $100 to $2,150 with various benefits for each level throughout the year.  For more information, visit www.savannahjazz.org.
