The City of Tybee Island is pleased to announce the grand opening of
its new pickleball courts, expanding recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

The community is invited to join Mayor, City Council, and City leadership for a ribbon cutting ceremony and ceremonial “first serve” to officially open the courts.

Location: Memorial Park 402 Jones Avenue, Tybee Island
Date: Thursday, May 28
Time: 11 am

The event will include brief remarks from City leadership, followed by a ceremonial first serve by the Mayor, City Manager, and City Council, and an official ribbon cutting. Guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy open play following the ceremony.

“This project reflects Tybee’s ongoing commitment to creating spaces that bring people together and promote active, healthy lifestyles,” said the Mayor of Tybee Island.

Pickleball’s growing popularity makes these new courts an exciting addition to the island’s community amenities.
