The Metro Savannah Rotary Club proudly highlights the inspiring work of its future leaders featuring three dynamic groups: the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) website, Rotaract at Savannah State University students IG Account, and the Interact Club at St. Andrew’s School. Together, these groups embody Rotary’s commitment to service above self while shaping the next generation of community-minded leaders.

The Metro Savannah Club enjoyed a special presentation from GRSP participant Julio Alberto-Morales-Alvarez from Mexico who shared his unique cultural perspective and personal journey, reinforcing the global mission of the Georgia Rotary Student Program to foster international understanding and goodwill. Students from Savannah State University demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement through a variety of impactful service projects. Their efforts included volunteering with First Harvest Savannah, participating in a Halloween Trunk or Treat event where they distributed candy to local families, and hosting a meaningful Women’s History Month program. During this event, students served refreshments while educating attendees about lesser-known Black women activists whose contributions have shaped history. In addition, the group participated in a ribbon-cutting festival ceremony and celebrated the induction of new members into their organization, further strengthening their commitment to service and leadership.

The Interact Club at St. Andrew’s School concluded an outstanding year marked by leadership, compassion, and hands-on service. The Middle School Interact Club volunteered with Second Harvest, packing breakfast bags for summer feeding programs and baking treats accompanied by handwritten thank-you notes for staff members in facilities, dining services, and transportation. Meanwhile, the Upper School Interact Club organized a service project to prepare and donate sandwiches to a local night shelter, addressing food insecurity within the community.

Across both Middle and Upper School Interact Clubs, 45 students in grades 7–12 participated in more than 10 service projects throughout the year, demonstrating an extraordinary dedication to making a difference.

“These highlights reflect the heart of our mission—developing leaders who are committed to service, community, and global understanding,” said a representative of the Metro Savannah Rotary Club. “We are incredibly proud of these students and the meaningful impact they’ve made.” The Metro Savannah Rotary Club continues to invest in youth programs that inspire leadership, service, and connection, ensuring a bright and compassionate future for the Savannah community and beyond.
