“You Made Me Love You” — A Judy Garland Tribute
Friday, May 29th, 2026
Savannah Repertory Theatre invites audiences to experience the music,
glamour, and enduring spirit of Judy Garland with You Made Me Love You: A tribute to Judy Garland, a special one-night-only cabaret concert on Monday, June 22 at 7:00 PM at the Historic Savannah Theatre. Starring Savannah Rep Producing Artistic Director Natasha Drena, the evening will feature beloved Garland classics including “The Man That Got Away,” “The Trolley Song,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” alongside surprise guests and Savannah Rep’s official 2026/2027 Season Announcement.
For this exclusive event, Drena reunites with longtime collaborator and acclaimed pianist/music director Chris Brent Davis. Their celebrated artistic partnership has brought Judy Garland’s music to life in settings ranging from intimate cabaret venues and regional theatre productions of End of the Rainbow to large-scale concert and symphony hall performances.
Drena previously earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow at Actor’s Express in Atlanta, with ARTS ATL writing that she “perfectly captures the stage persona of Judy Garland.”
Held on the anniversary of Garland’s passing, the evening serves as both a celebration of her legendary artistry and a tribute to the timeless music she left behind.
Blending warmth, humor, soaring vocals, and intimate storytelling, You Made Me Love You celebrates the emotional honesty and enduring brilliance that made Garland one of entertainment’s most beloved icons.
“This is a deeply personal concert for me,” said Drena. “Judy Garland’s music carries vulnerability, joy, heartbreak, resilience, and humor all at once. Getting to revisit this material alongside Chris — someone I’ve collaborated with for years — makes this evening especially meaningful.”
The event also offers audiences a first look at Savannah Rep’s upcoming theatrical season as the company continues expanding its work throughout the region through bold productions, artist collaborations, and innovative storytelling.
Whether audiences have loved Garland’s music for decades or are discovering it for the first time, You Made Me Love You promises an unforgettable evening of live music, vintage glamour, and theatrical celebration.
Tickets are available now at SavannahRep.org.
