Friday, June 26th, 2026
On June 17, 2026, community leaders, economic development partners, and Burlington Stores executives gathered to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of Burlington Stores' newest and most advanced distribution center in Bryan County.
Spanning more than 2.1 million square feet, the facility is Burlington's largest and most technologically advanced distribution center to date and the largest distribution center in Georgia's coastal region. The facility features more than 23 miles of conveyor systems designed to increase speed, efficiency, and flexibility throughout the operation.
“This distribution center marks an important milestone for Burlington's Supply Chain as we tap into the Southeast corridor, making Savannah our first DC located outside of our traditional East and West corridors of New Jersey and California,” said Brad Sampson, Vice President East Coast Distribution of Burlington Stores, Inc. “This new location increases our geographic reach, improving routing efficiency, reducing transit times and lowering transportation costs. Inside the four walls, the facility is specifically designed for off-price retail, leveraging advanced technologies and smart workflow design to increase speed, flexibility, and efficiency. The project team and our partners have done an amazing job and we are very excited to be part of the greater Savannah community.”
The project represents a major investment in Bryan County and further strengthens the region's reputation as a premier logistics and distribution hub.
“The opening of Burlington's newest distribution center is a milestone moment for Bryan County and the entire coastal region,” said Ryan Purvis, Chief Executive Officer of the Development Authority of Bryan County. “At more than 2.1 million square feet, this facility showcases the scale of investment and opportunity that continues to be drawn to our community. We are grateful for Burlington's partnership and excited to see the positive impact this operation will have for years to come.”
The ribbon cutting celebrated years of collaboration between Burlington Stores and numerous state, regional, and local partners who helped bring the project to fruition.
“Today's celebration reflects the strength of partnership and the momentum we continue to see throughout Bryan County,” said Matt Hodges, Chairman of the Bryan County Chamber of Commerce. “Burlington's decision to invest here speaks volumes about our community, our workforce, and our future. The Chamber team is honored to welcome them and look forward to their continued success.”
