Business Valuation, Inc. Announces Key Promotions in Jacksonville and Savannah

Business Valuation, Inc. (BVI) is pleased to announce the promotions of Joy Roop to Managing Director in Jacksonville and Brantley DeWitt, CVA to Manager of Valuation Advisory in Savannah.
These promotions reflect BVI’s continued growth and its commitment to developing leadership talent across its offices.
Joy Roop Promoted to Managing Director—Jacksonville
Joy Roop has been promoted to Managing Director in BVI’s Jacksonville office, where she will play a key leadership role in operations, process improvement, and client service delivery.
“Joy has demonstrated the kind of leadership that supports our long-term vision for growth and operational excellence,” said Bill Sorenson, CVA, president of BVI. “Her promotion reflects the value of her contributions and the elevated role she will continue to play in advancing our firm.”
Joy joined BVI in 2020, bringing valuable client management experience from previous roles at the PGA TOUR and CSX Transportation, where she developed strong relationship management skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, responsive service.
A graduate of Jacksonville University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Joy has established herself as a trusted leader known for streamlining workflows, implementing structure and accountability, and elevating team performance to meet high standards. She is recognized for her ability to coordinate across functions, improve efficiency, and drive results in fast-paced, client-focused environments.
Brantley DeWitt, CVA, Promoted to Manager of Valuation Advisory—Savannah
Brantley DeWitt, CVA, has been promoted to Manager of Valuation Advisory and now leads BVI’s efforts in the Savannah market. In this role, he is responsible for strengthening client relationships and expanding the firm’s footprint among business owners and trusted advisors throughout the area.
“Brantley’s promotion recognizes both his technical expertise and his leadership in establishing and growing our Savannah presence,” said Sorenson. The firm opened its first Savannah office in October 2025, sharing a location in Midtown with its sister company,Heritage Capital Group.
As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), DeWitt delivers comprehensive valuation analyses for a wide range of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, tax compliance, and strategic business planning. He specializes in financial modeling, market research, and risk analysis to produce defensible valuations. DeWitt regularly collaborates with attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors to ensure clients receive actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
DeWitt earned his bachelor’s degree in finance, magna cum laude, from Auburn University, and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
He is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Savannah and serves on the Emerging Leaders Committee of the Savannah Community Foundation.
