Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, June 29th, 2026

A new charter high school will open in Chatham County this fall, aimed at giving new opportunities to students who may need extra support.

REACH Savannah Charter High School will enroll around 125 students with around a dozen staff members. Over 40 students are already enrolled.

Dr. Richard Reynolds, executive director for REACH Savannah, said the school will work with other schools rather than compete against them for enrollment.

“What we’re trying to do compliments the work that they’re already doing,” Reynolds said. “We’re coming in and targeting kids who need something different.”
