SCCPSS Postpones Millage Rate Hearings Pending Tax Digest Data

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has canceled three millage rate hearings that were scheduled for later this month as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 budget process.

According to the district, the hearings are being postponed because officials are still awaiting final tax digest information needed to calculate certain figures related to the recommended millage rate.

The canceled hearings include:

  • June 17 at 11 a.m.
  • June 17 at 6 p.m.
  • June 24 at 6 p.m.

The hearings were originally scheduled to comply with requirements under Georgia’s Taxpayer Bill of Rights and the district’s FY27 budget calendar.
