Second Public Feedback Session for Highlands Community Park Announced

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, June 12th, 2026

A date has been set for a second public engagement session focused on the future of Savannah's Highlands Community Center and Park.

The City of Savannah invites Highlands residents, families, youth, seniors, business owners, neighborhood leaders, and other community stakeholders to attend the upcoming feedback session and learn more about proposed plans for the community space.

During the meeting, City staff will share concepts, priorities, and potential next steps developed from feedback gathered during the initial community engagement session held last October. Attendees will have an opportunity to review the prospective direction for the project, ask questions, and provide additional input to help refine plans.

The meeting is part of an ongoing community driven planning process designed to ensure the future community center and park reflect the needs, priorities, and vision of the Highlands community.

Feedback collected during this session will help guide project recommendations and inform the next phase of planning for the community space.

The City of Savannah is committed to a planning process that is transparent, inclusive, and community focused. Each comment, idea, and suggestion shared could help ensure the Highlands Community Center and Park serves the needs of residents and generations to come.
