Senior Citizens Inc. Launches Annual Fan Drive

Senior Citizens Inc. launched its annual fan drive on Tuesday, receiving more than 200 fans from the Home Depot Foundation to start the effort.
The organization has conducted the fan drive for more than 20 years to help older adults stay cool during summer months.
“The most important thing, especially during the hot summer season, is the ability to stay cool,” said Maureen Bergmueller, marketing director for Senior Citizens Inc.
Bergmueller said older adults have a harder time regulating temperatures, making cooling assistance critical.
