Caitlin Burnwinkel, PLA, Named One of Engineering Georgia's 35 Under 35 Women to Know

Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Caitlin Burwinkel, PLA, Landscape Architecture Group Leader, has been named to Engineering Georgia's 2026 35 Under 35 Women to Know in Engineering list. The recognition honors emerging leaders who are making meaningful contributions to their professions, organizations, and communities across Georgia.

Caitlin serves as Landscape Architecture Group Leader in T&H's Savannah office, where she leads the design of residential, mixed-use, and civic projects throughout the Southeast. A registered Professional Landscape Architect in Georgia and South Carolina, she collaborates closely with engineers, planners, and clients to create integrated site designs that promote connectivity, environmental stewardship, and long-term community value. In just seven years with the firm, she has advanced into a leadership role while helping mentor and develop the next generation of design professionals.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Caitlin actively supports community initiatives throughout the Coastal Empire. She currently serves as Chair of the United Way of the Coastal Empire Young Leaders Executive Committee and as a member of the organization's Board of Directors. She is also a graduate of Leadership Savannah and served on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, demonstrating her commitment to leadership development and community engagement.
