J. DelSUR Marketing Group Announces New Ownership, Signaling Continued Growth
Friday, August 28th, 2026
J. DelSUR Marketing Group, a regional marketing, advertising, and publishing company serving the coastal Georgia communities of Effingham, Bryan, and the Pooler area, today announced a change in ownership. Founder Dr. Jan Southern is transitioning ownership of the company — including its three community magazines, Pooler Magazine, Effingham Magazine, and Bryan County Magazine — to regional business leaders Tuba and Somi Benson-Jaja.
Founded seven years ago, J. DelSUR has grown into a full-service marketing partner for businesses across the region, offering website development, streaming and digital advertising, social media, email marketing, video, and more. Under Dr. Southern, the company expanded its publishing portfolio to include Pooler Magazine, Effingham Magazine, and Bryan County Magazine, which celebrate the people, businesses, and communities of coastal Georgia.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at J. DelSUR and grateful for the clients, team, and community partners who helped make that growth possible. As I looked toward the company’s next chapter, it was important to me to find owners who honored what had been built but also had the vision and leadership to take it even further. I have tremendous confidence in Tuba and Somi. They understand this community, value relationships, and bring the energy and expertise to take J. DelSUR to the next level. I’m excited about what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to support them as they lead the company into its next chapter,” said Dr. Jan Southern, founder of J. DelSUR Marketing Group.
The new owners - brothers, business owners, and longtime members of the Coastal Georgia business and nonprofit community - emphasized continuity. “What Jan built is rooted in real relationships and real results, and that’s exactly what continues,” said Tuba Benson-Jaja. “The same team and the same quality our clients trust will continue — and we’re bringing added energy and investment to help J. DelSUR and its magazines grow, including into the greater Savannah market.”
“Every community has stories worth telling, and these publications have an incredible platform for doing that,” said Somi Benson-Jaja. “I’m excited to help broaden that storytelling, celebrate the people and businesses shaping our region, and continue growing alongside the communities we serve.”
Dr. Southern will continue to work alongside the new owners as Senior Strategist, continuing to work directly with clients and welcome new ones, supporting a smooth transition and the company’s next chapter. J. DelSUR will continue under its current name, with its existing team and its offices in Rincon, Georgia. Clients, advertisers, and readers can expect uninterrupted service.
