Savannah Speech & Hearing Center Expands Opportunity Through Women United Transportation Grant
Tuesday, August 11th, 2026
Savannah Speech and Hearing Center has been awarded a Women United Transportation Fund mini grant from United Way of the Coastal Empire, supporting efforts to expand access to reliable transportation for individuals and families across the region.
Funded through Women Who Rule, an annual event held each March, the Women United Transportation Fund helps remove one of the most persistent barriers to stability: access to dependable transportation. The fund provides resources such as gas cards, bus passes and limited car repairs, helping community members get to work, attend school, access medical care and connect to essential services.
Since 1954, Savannah Speech and Hearing has been committed to providing comprehensive speech, hearing, language and other therapeutic services that empower and transform the lives of both children and adults, regardless of financial abilities.
