Savannah Welcomes 40 Students From Around the World

Forty college students representing 20 countries gathered in historic downtown Savannah this weekend to begin a year of studying and living in Georgia.
The students attended the Georgia Rotary Student Program’s Conclave at The DeSoto Hotel, marking the start of their journey as members of the 2026–2027 GRSP class.
During the orientation, the students met one another and connected with their Rotarian sponsors and host families. They also learned about the program and the expectations for living in the United States during the academic year.
Savannah Mayor Van Johnson welcomed the students to the city.
