32nd Annual Senior Citizens’ Dinner Returning to Vidalia this Weekend

A beloved community tradition honoring area elders is returning to Toombs County this weekend for its 32nd year.
The 32nd Annual Senior Citizens’ Dinner will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 2 p.m. at the Vidalia Community Building, located at 107 Old Airport Road off Highway 280.
The free event was founded more than three decades ago by the late Alma McClendon. When her mother became ill and moved into a nursing facility, McClendon began organizing an annual dinner to bring her out to visit with family, friends, and peers.
