CURE Childhood Cancer to Host Ice Cream Social for Pediatric Cancer Patients and Families

In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CURE Childhood Cancer will host a special Ice Cream Social on Thursday, September 10, for pediatric cancer patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital.
The afternoon will bring together CURE staff, patients and families for complimentary ice cream and a celebration designed to recognize the strength and courage of children facing cancer.
WHAT:
CURE Childhood Cancer Ice Cream Social, featuring complimentary ice cream provided by Udder’s Ice Cream Shop in Effingham, craft stations with the CURE Crew, Gold Beads and other activities for pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Media will have the opportunity to capture the Ice Cream Social festivities, speak with representatives from CURE Childhood Cancer about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CURE’s work in the Savannah area and the organization’s ongoing efforts to support children and families facing a cancer diagnosis, and speak with any children or families willing to be interviewed.
