Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, congratulates John Garceau, PLA, Principal and Landscape Architect Senior Group Leader, on his role as Vice Chair of EmployAbility's Board of Directors.
EmployAbility is a Savannah-based nonprofit that creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to develop skills, pursue meaningful employment, and build greater independence and connection within the community. As Vice Chair, John will support the organization's leadership and mission while contributing his experience in community-focused planning, design, and service.
"I love giving back to the local community and fostering upward mobility for all. Every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and I'm honored to support EmployAbility's mission of creating meaningful pathways to employment, independence, and inclusion," said John.
John brings more than 24 years of experience in landscape architecture, planning, and design. A Clemson University graduate and Leadership Savannah alumnus, he serves as T&H's Landscape Architect Senior Group Leader, focusing on business development, firmwide growth, client relationships, and new opportunities across multiple markets while remaining involved in project work.
John's involvement with EmployAbility also builds on T&H's relationship with the organization. Through T&H Helping Hands, employees have volunteered with EmployAbility on projects supporting its Savannah campus and programs.
T&H is proud to support John's leadership and service and applauds his commitment to expanding opportunities for people throughout the Savannah community.
