The Savannah Center for Photography (SCP) will open "There are names for what binds us," a new exhibition of photographs by Mark Cáceres, on Friday, October 2, as part of Savannah’s First Friday art walk. The opening reception runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at SCP, 2205 Price Street.

"There are names for what binds us" is a series of black and white gelatin silver prints exploring themes of injury, resilience, and intimacy in the face of mortality. The images blur the line between fact and imagination.

Cáceres will travel from Atlanta to Savannah for an artist talk at SCP on Thursday, October 22, at 6 p.m. The talk is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will remain on view through January 2nd.
