Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Sam Newsome, PE, has earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia.

Sam is a Project Engineer in T&H’s Savannah office with more than 10 years of experience supporting public and private sector projects. His experience spans industrial, residential, municipal, and critical infrastructure projects, from large-scale commerce parks to urban infill developments. His expertise includes project management, master planning, civil design, permitting, drainage and utility infrastructure, and quality assurance and quality control.

Throughout his career at T&H, Sam has contributed to significant projects across the region, including the Georgia International Trade Center, Georgia Power transmission infrastructure, Main Gate Logistics Park, and municipal water infrastructure. He has served as a lead designer on projects involving master planning, site development, water and sewer systems, stormwater management, and permitting.

Sam earned both his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Applied Engineering from Georgia Southern University.
