Chamber and Visit Savannah Teams Experience the SAV6 Standard
Friday, October 9th, 2026
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Savannah teams joined more than 500 community participants for the first public session of SAV6: The Savannah Standard, a new community-wide customer service initiative led by the Tourism Leadership Council in partnership with Figary Learning.
The program is designed to create a shared standard for warm, welcoming and professional service across the Savannah area—reinforcing the idea that every interaction, regardless of industry, helps shape how residents, visitors and customers experience our community.
Participants heard from Michael T. Owens, president and CEO of the Tourism Leadership Council, about the important connection between strong customer service and the local economy. Ewan Riccio-Laing, CEO and founder of Figary Learning, introduced the Savannah Standard and demonstrated how its simple framework can help businesses and employees strengthen the customer experience.
The session also brought the lessons to life with an entertaining and interactive performance by the cast of Front Porch Improv, giving participants an opportunity to see customer service principles in action.
The Chamber and Visit Savannah teams were proud to participate alongside hundreds of local professionals committed to a common goal: ensuring that wherever someone interacts with Savannah, they experience the welcoming spirit and exceptional service that have long helped define our community.
