Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens to Host Fall Harvest Family Night Oct. 28

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, October 8th, 2026

The Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens will celebrate the season with Fall Harvest Family Night on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Gardens, 2 Canebrake Road in Savannah.

The family-friendly evening will feature storytelling, games, interactive educational tables, fall photo opportunities and a pumpkin patch where children can select a “pie” pumpkin to take home. Concessions will also be available throughout the evening.

“Fall Harvest Family Night gives families a chance to enjoy the Gardens together while celebrating the season in a fun and engaging way,” said Elise Zador, director of the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. “From picking out a pumpkin to participating in games and educational activities, we hope families will make special memories while also discovering more of what the Gardens has to offer.”

Activities will take place in the Pavilion Area of the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. Admission is $10 per child, while parents and other adults are free. Children under the age of two may attend free unless they are participating in the pumpkin patch.

Advance registration is preferred, and pie pumpkins are guaranteed for children with advance tickets. Walk-up guests are welcome while pumpkin supplies last.

“Fall is such a wonderful time to bring people together outdoors,” Zador added. “We’re looking forward to welcoming families from across the community for an evening that combines seasonal fun with opportunities to learn, explore and enjoy the Gardens.”

Registration is available through the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens website at www.coastalbg.uga.edu.
