Judge Realty founder and CEO Lori Judge has been named to the Board of Advisors for the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art, which is one of the top art programs in the nation, and also made an endowment to the school, funding the Lori Judge Award for Dodd Market Fund.
As a member of the Lamar Dodd School of Art Board of Advisors, Judge will play a vital role in ensuring the school fulfills its objective to strive for excellence in the visual arts, providing high-quality instruction in studio art, design, art education and art history. She will be involved in the strategic planning process and participate in various initiatives designed to support emerging artists at the University of Georgia.
“I’m incredibly honored to join the Lamar Dodd School of Art’s Board of Advisors and to help support the next generation of visual artists at the University of Georgia,” said Lori Judge, founder and CEO of Judge Realty. “I’ve always been passionate about art and the vital role it plays in inspiring creativity, fostering connection and enriching our communities.”
In addition to her service on the Board of Advisors, Judge endowed the Lori Judge Award for Dodd Market Fund, which is designed to help Lamar Dodd School of Art students participate in the Dodd Market, a semi-annual, student-run art market that offers students the opportunity to sell their work.
An avid collector of local and regional artists, Judge has a longtime commitment to supporting public art in Savannah, Ga. Past projects have utilized the exterior of the former Judge Realty office building in downtown Savannah as a blank canvas for local artists to share their creativity with the public. In addition, she personally curated The Judge Collection, which is on rotating permanent display at the Judge Realty office at 5202 Waters Ave. in Savannah, and sponsors Arts Southeast as well as the Ships of the Sea Artist Residency program in Savannah.
