The National Federation of Independent Business – Georgia’s political campaign arm announced its endorsement of Bárbara Rivera Holmes for Labor Commissioner this week.

“My department serves as a voice for Georgia workers, and so it is an honor to receive the endorsement of the ‘Voice of Small Business,’ the National Federation of Independent Business – Georgia,” said Rivera Holmes.  “Our small businesses are the cornerstone of Georgia’s economy, and the Georgia Department of Labor works each day to connect them directly with our highly skilled and adaptable workforce.  Our state remains an economic powerhouse because of our tremendous labor force, and organizations like NFIB-Georgia.”

With early voting underway in the state, and a record number of Georgians already casting their ballots, this major endorsement is a signal of the clear momentum that Commissioner Rivera Holmes has in the race.

“Small business is the foundation of Georgia’s economy,” said NFIB Georgia State Director Hunter Loggins said in a statement announcing the endorsement.  “We need leaders throughout state government who understand the challenges facing Main Stress businesses and will work to create and maintain an environment where they can grow, create jobs, and serve their communities.”
