Congratulations to Art Teacher, Jessica Ruffner, on being selected for the prestigious Georgia Department of Education’s Teacher Policy Fellowship!

The Georgia Teacher Policy Fellowship is a nine-month professional learning opportunity that gives classroom teachers an opportunity to deepen their understanding of public education policy and policymaking through seminars, conversations, and projects.

Throughout the program, fellows engage in dynamic discussions, seminars, and projects to deepen their understanding of the policy landscape and the stakeholders involved. They interact with policymakers, legislators, education leaders, and experts from GaDOE and other organizations.

This is an incredible opportunity for Mrs. Ruffner to represent SCCPSS and The STEM Academy @ Bartlett Middle School, contributing her perspective as a classroom educator, and bringing new knowledge and insight back to our school district.
