DIRTT Environmental Solutions hosted the official launch of the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance Friday April 17th. GMA has been supporting and promoting manufacturers since 2008.

“The enthusiasm of the Savannah group is contagious. I love seeing how manufacturing and community leaders are working together to support the launch of GMA,”said Jason Moss CEO of GMA. “Laura Lee volunteered to be the founding director of GMA – Savannah. Others volunteered to play a supporting role; Mark Downey Quality Engineer at Orafol, Scott Rasplicka CEO of Delta Metals, Trevor Seigler Plant Superintendent of Roger Woods Foods and Lois Judy of Fondarific,” Moss added.

Laura Lee Bocade – Relationship and Business Development Manager of DIRTT helped coordinate the launch event and provided a plant tour for all who attended. "We don't have enough opportunities to spend time with industry partners, sharing best practices, industry developments and general operational and cultural "intel”. Seeing how GMA is filling this gap in the Atlanta area and being able to take that program and run with it is a real boon to Savannah area manufacturers and related industry leaders. Jason has created a vision, mission and function for GMA members that ensures time and energy is well-spent and we know everyone who participates will net results right away.

It's natural for our community members to support our fellow businesses but we don't always have the right track to run on. The GMA opens up a line of communication and credibility for member companies to give and take as needed. I'm excited about our kickoff meeting response and I hope we can include a dozen more founding members and expand beyond Savannah to coastal Georgia!" said Bocade
