Choate Construction Company has been selected for the construction of the 150-key expansion to the highly acclaimed Inn at Palmetto Bluff, located in Bluffton, South Carolina and recently recognized as the #1 Resort in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler.

The expansion will consist of a 150-key, 154,000-SF luxury Montage resort; a 16,000-SF Central Services building; and support buildings.  Construction has begun with a 22-month overall duration.

The projects are a result of Crescent Communities’ (“Crescent”) continued commitment to the overall development and $100 million investment to expand the Inn at Palmetto Bluff resort.  Crescent has assembled an expert team to lead the expansion project including Montage Hotels & Resorts as the operator of the expanded Inn; The Athens Group as a development partner and hospitality industry leader known for its sustainable luxury resort developments; and a design team including world-renowned Hart Howerton, HKS Hill Glazier Studio, and Wilson Associates.
