Monday, June 3rd, 2019
The 7 days of giving launched today - a week-long campaign designed to raise awareness of seven charities in the South Carolina Lowcountry and Georgia’s Coastal Empire.
7 Days of Giving is designed to raise awareness of seven non-profit organizations in the region and to empower all residents to support local community programs. By focusing on online micro-donations, which can be mobilized quickly and easily, the goal of the campaign is to revolutionize charitable giving, eliminating socio-economic divisions and helping communities understand that the small efforts of individuals - when taken as a group - can have a significant impact on a region. Organizers have created content about each charity that can be used for publication throughout the week. The schedule of featured charities is as follows:
June 1: The Mighty Eighth Air Force
June 2: EmployAbility
June 3: Pockets Full of Sunshine
June 4: Palmetto Ocean Conservancy
June 5: Agape Family Life Center
June 6: Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless
June 7: Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center
