“The Board is excited to welcome Jackie Schott to the organization,” said Carey Ferrara, SDBA Chairman of the Board. “When we created this new position for the SDBA, we knew we wanted someone that could carry out the Board’s strategic vision for the organization, as well as, continue the forward momentum and growth the organization has recently experienced,” continued Ferrara. “Jackie’s experience in non-profit management, marketing, and communications, coupled with her passion for the downtown community, made her the perfect fit for the SDBA’s new position.”
In addition to assuming the day-to-day responsibilities of the organization, Jackie will work directly with the Board of Directors, member businesses, and community partners to ensure the SDBA continues to advocate in the promotion of a prosperous downtown business community.
“I am thrilled to serve the SDBA as its new Executive Director,” said Jackie Schott. “Since moving to Savannah in 2005, I have had the pleasure of working and volunteering in the downtown area for the majority of my career. Having the opportunity to combine my love of downtown Savannah with my desire to advocate for the Savannah business community is a dream come true.”
