Savannah Technical College (Savannah Tech), the premier provider of career-ready technical education and workforce development in Coastal Georgia, is giving local residents the power to define the college's future by launching the final voting round for its new official mascot. 

"Savannah Tech is the community's college,” said Cynthia Cradduck, Asst. Vice President for Public Relations and Marketing at the college. “This community-centered approach is a powerful statement of partnership, ensuring our new mascot is a symbol that truly belongs to and represents all of Coastal Georgia."

After an exhaustive selection process, three finalists have emerged, each embodying the unique character of both the college and the Coastal Georgia region. The choices go beyond a simple image, representing the very essence of Savannah Tech's students and its mission.

The Finalists

The Storm: A raw force of nature, the Storm symbolizes the powerful, career-ready education delivered by Savannah Tech. This aggressive, confident choice promises to bring the thunder, mirroring the high-impact programs that prepare students for in-demand careers.

The Kraken: This legendary sea monster represents power, mystique and the rich history of the coast. The Kraken is an unforgettable symbol ready to rise from the depths to command respect and represent the college's bold future.

The Otter: Smart, sleek and resourceful, the Otter embodies the intellect and adaptability of Savannah Tech students. Known for using tools in the wild and thriving in local waters, this mascot is a clever choice that represents a different kind of strength, one ready to navigate the professional world with skill and finesse.

The winning mascot will become a unifying symbol for the college's more than 150 career-focused programs and its nearly 13,000 students across campuses in Chatham, Bryan, Effingham and Liberty counties.

The public can cast their vote at www.savannahtech.edu/mascot. The voting period closes on Monday, September 15. The final selection, which will define the future face of Savannah Tech, will be announced later this year.
