Mercer University & Memorial to Hold Groundbreaking on $18M Expansion

Mercer University and Memorial University Medical Center will conduct a groundbreaking on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1:30 p.m., for an $18 million expansion of facilities on the Savannah campus. This endeavor will include renovation of the William and Iffath Hoskins Center for Biomedical Research on the campus of Memorial University Medical Center as well as construction of an addition to the Hoskins Center to serve as a medical education and research facility for the Mercer University School of Medicine. Completion of this project will allow a 50 percent increase in enrollment – from 160 to 240 – on the Savannah campus.
