To mark the closing of its initial outside investment and the opening of its offices, Aetho is inviting the media, investment community, industry professionals, and public officials to a ribbon- cutting ceremony on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The event will be held in Aetho’s new space inside The Creators’ Foundry located at 415 West Boundary Street, Savannah, GA 31401.

The Creators’ Foundry is Savannah’s very own innovation HIVE (home for innovators, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs) and is operated by The Creative Coast, the same organization that puts on Geekend, the annual conference where Aetho co-founder Ian Nott first pitched his robotics and wearable tech startup and secured a $100,000 investment on the spot from Jason Premo.

Mr. Premo is not only the Venture Manager of Swamp Rabbit Angels, an investment vehicle that provides seed capital to very early stage startups, but he also serves as a director on the boards of multiple early stage start-up companies in high-tech consumer products, manufacturing & engineering services, and marketing media fields.

In addition to Premo’s investment, Aetho is receiving a capital contribution of an undisclosed amount from local Savannah residents Yusuf Hameed, MD, and his wife, Karen George Hameed.

Dr. Hameed has been providing dedicated anesthesia services to the obstetrical department at Candler Hospital in Savannah, along with consultations in pain management. He is also an Executive Producer with Second Career Productions, a studio that is currently developing several screenplays that will be filmed in Savannah.

Introducing Aetho at the ceremony will be Bea Wray, Executive Director of The Creative Coast, followed by opening remarks from Aetho co-founders and investors. The event will conclude with the premiere of a new promotional video Aetho will be releasing.

Over the next few weeks, the company will continue raising funds to quickly fill out its seed round and hopes to turn out would-be investors to the event. Aetho will also be on the lookout for design and engineering talent as the startup focuses on growing the team.

Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served during the afternoon mixer and guests will have the opportunity to tour all that The Creators’ Foundry has to offer.
