The Georgia Department of Labor will host recruitments next week in Savannah to help two companies hire a total of 95 workers. Both recruitments will be held in the GDOL’s Savannah Career Center at 5520 White Bluff Road.

On Monday, July 13, from 8:30-10 a.m., GDOL will help Residence Inn recruit a number of employees for a new motel scheduled to open next month in Pooler. The company is recruiting front desk and guest services representatives, house attendants and housekeepers.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, or General Education Diploma (GED), and at least one year of experience. 

To be considered for these positions, applicants must attend the recruitment. 

On Wednesday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Burger King will be hiring for a wide variety of jobs in the Savannah area.      

Those positions include assistant managers, cashiers, cooks, hostesses and shift managers.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED). Applicants for the management positions must have at least two years of experience. No experience is required for cashiers, cooks and hostesses.  

Depending on experience and type of job, salaries range from $7.25-$9 an hour for cashiers, cooks and hostesses and $24-$44,000 a year for managers.
