Wednesday, July 8th, 2015

Nine Line Apparel announced today the hire of Brandy Mai, a U.S. Army veteran, to the position of Marketing Director.

Mai comes to the organization with a wealth of experience in both marketing and veteran relations, having spent her early career as an active-duty soldier in Army public affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern State University and is a current graduate school student majoring in communications at Purdue University. Her previous employments have included marketing and public relations management, as well as freelance endeavors with military and veteran nonprofits.

“Her career has spanned public relations to marketing to veteran advocacy, which makes her the perfect fit for our company,” said Daniel Merritt, co-founder of Nine Line Apparel. “We view her appointment as a sign of our commitment to the nation’s veterans, and I’m confident she will help us achieve those goals.”

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the Nine Line team,” said Mai. “I first met these guys years ago when they were carrying the American flag at the Rock ‘n Roll marathon, and I immediately knew I wanted to work for them some day. Their commitment to veterans is top-notch, and I’m excited to merge my marketing background with my own personal commitments to our nation’s veterans!”
