To celebrate four years of award winning craft brews, Coastal Empire Beer Co. is hosting a fundraising anniversary party on Friday, August 28 to raise money for Coastal Pet Rescue.

The 4 Years & 4 Paws party, slated to run from 6:00-10:00 p.m., will be at Coastal Empire Beer Co.’s brewery, 79 Ross Road, in Savannah. Award winning southern BBQ from the Smokin’ Pig and celebratory craft brews will be served, Junkyard Angel will entertain guests and attendees will have a chance to win a range of raffle prizes. 

All proceeds from the celebration will be donated to Coastal Pet Rescue an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization, founded in 2003 which is based in Savannah, Georgia and is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in the Coastal Empire.

Lisa Scarbrough, co-director and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue, said, “We have already rescued more pets this year than we did during the whole of 2014 and our veterinary expenses have been very high.  We are so grateful to Coastal Empire Beer Co. for arranging this a 4 years and 4 paws party to help us help pets in need in the Coastal Empire”.

Coastal Empire Beer Co. is a local brewery founded by brothers Kevin and Chris Haborak.  The brewery became a dream of Kevin Haborak back in 1995 after receiving a home brewery kit as a gift.  Since opening the doors of Coastal Empire Beer Co. in 2011, Kevin and Chris have worked hard to create the recipes that have now won the brewery six medals from international beer competitions, five medals in the US Open Beer Championship and one from the GABF.    

“We wanted to celebrate how far we have come in just four years and it is important to us to give back to the community in which we live and work.  My wife and I adopted our dog Lucky from Coastal Pet Rescue and were very impressed with the dedication of all the volunteers there.  We are delighted they will be joining us on August 28 and everybody who attends the party and then provides a forever home for a pet from Coastal Pet Rescue will receive a gift of a free private brewery tour” Chris Haborak said.
