Ogeechee Riverkeeper unveils plans for its main fundraising event of the year, the 2nd Annual Oyster Roast which will take place on Thursday, November 5th from 6-9pm at a new location - the Isle of Hope Marina located at 50 West Bluff Drive, Savannah.
Attendees will be entertained by DJ Jose Ray, have a chance to bid on fabulous silent auction items and enjoy a selection of delicious food in addition to the popular oysters. Tickets booked in advance are priced at an affordable $45 per ticket and $40 per ticket if there are two or more in your group. Tickets at the door will be an additional $5 each. Corporate and individual sponsorships are available from $500. Ogeechee Riverkeeper a 501(c) 3 non- profit organization, is currently celebrating 10 exciting years of advocating and looking out for an important part of Coastal Georgia’s most beloved natural resources.
Emily Markesteyn, Ogeechee Riverkeeper says “Last year the Oyster Roast was extremely successful and we are anticipating this year’s event to be even better. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance because numbers are limited. We want to show our appreciation to our supporters and raise funds to support our educational and environmental protection initiatives. What better way to do it than celebrating with oysters on the Ogeechee”.
