Thursday, August 13th, 2015

Parker’s, a nationally recognized convenience store leader headquartered in Savannah, Ga., has been included on the prestigious Inc. 500|5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the fourth consecutive year.

Inc. released the complete list of honorees earlier today and will recognize winners in the September 2015 issue of the magazine and at the 2015 Inc. 5000 Conference and Gala, which will be held on October 21-23 in Orlando.

“Only a tiny fraction of the nation’s companies have demonstrated such remarkably consistent high growth,” said Inc. President and Editor-in-Chief Eric Schurenberg, “particularly in the difficult economic environment of the past few years.”

Parker’s once again joins top U.S. companies like Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit and Oracle. To make the cut, companies needed to achieve significant sales growth between 2011 and 2014.

“We’re deeply grateful to all of our loyal customers for making this recognition possible,” said Parker’s President and CEO Greg Parker. “We’re thrilled to be recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies, delivering the ultimate in customer service and the lowest prices to our customers. Fast, fresh and friendly is more than just a motto at Parker’s. It’s a promise we keep to our customers every day.”

Founded in 1976, Parker’s has earned accolades for its free PumpPal program, which offers deep discounts on gas and has saved customers more than $5 million since its inception. Today, the PumpPal program has more than 100,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina. The company also launched a free Parker’s Cash Card earlier this year, which has also enjoyed tremendous success.

Parker’s donates one cent of every gallon of gas purchased at all of its convenience stores on the first Wednesday of the month to education, healthcare and other important causes through the company’s Fueling the Community program. This charitable initiative, which officially launched in the fall of 2011, has donated money to public and private schools in every community where Parker’s does business and to the Parker’s Emergency and Trauma Center at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Parker’s has opened eight new retail locations over the past year and has ambitious plans for the future.

“At Parker’s, we’re preparing for explosive growth and plan to open 10 stores within the next year,” said Parker, who has been honored by Convenience Store News as the Tech Executive of the Year and by the Savannah Chamber of Commerce as the Entrepreneur of the Year. “We’re excited about the future and about our potential for smart, strategic growth.”

Parker’s currently operates 38 convenience stores across the region and employs nearly 500 individuals throughout Georgia and South Carolina. The company completes more than 80,000 transactions daily.
