RHBC Chamber 30th Anniversary Celebration

The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a cocktail party on Thursday, September 3rd from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fish Tales, located at 3203 Ft. McAllister Road at the Ft. McAllister Marina on the bucolic Ogeechee River.
 
The Chamber was incorporated on Sept. 4, 1985 by local business leaders Johnny Murphy, Charlie Stafford and Bob Ward. At that time only about 20 to 25 businesses even existed in Richmond Hill, according to first Board Chairman Johnny Murphy.
 
Over the past three decades, both the Chamber and Richmond Hill grew significantly; with the Chamber membership roster boasting 350 members and Richmond Hill/Bryan County being one of the fastest growing communities in the state.
 
The 30th Anniversary Celebration will feature delicious food, drinks and live entertainment. The attire is coastal casual.  It’s sponsored by: AmerisBank, Coastal Electric, Creative Approach, Gulfstream, Plantation Lumber & Hardware, Richmond Hill Reflections, Richmond Hill Historical Society, Richmond Hill Visitors Bureau, South State Bank, Thomas & Hutton, The Urgent Care Center and Waterways Township.
 
2015 Board Chairman Mike Sisco invites Chamber members and guests to come and enjoy a fun, festive evening at Fish Tales. “In 1985, the Chamber slogan was ‘Richmond Hill - A Great Place To Live’ and 30 years later it’s an even better place to live, work and play. The Chamber has been a big part of that,” Sisco said.
