Rives E. Worrell Co., a JE Dunn Construction Company, recently volunteered at America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, where they helped pack Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes, a federal program for seniors in need of food assistance.

“As a company, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we live, work and play. Serving this community that has given so much to us is our mission,” said Ryan Price, vice president of Rives E. Worrell. “America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is a most worthy cause for us to contribute to, and we’re pleased to be able to participate in today’s volunteer event.”

Each month the America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia packages 800 boxes containing vegetables, fruit, pasta, juice, cereal and protein for seniors in a 21-county service area. In addition, there is also the Emergency Food Assistance Program done weekly and distributed through the Mobile Food Pantry Program. Each of these programs is completely volunteer driven.
