Savannah is ranked as the No. 17 destination in the U.S. by TripAdvisor’s 2015 Travelers’ Choice Awards. TripAdvisor.com says the ratings were decided by millions of travelers’ reviews on its website.
 
“The TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award is huge for Savannah as a visitor destination. TripAdvisor has firmly established itself as the go-to online portal for travel planning for people all over the world,” said Joseph Marinelli, Visit Savannah president.
 
According to TripAdvisor, its Travelers' Choice Awards help other travelers choose the right destination for their perfect trip. Travelers' Choice Destinations are in the top 1 percent on TripAdvisor. This designation is considered by the site as its most prestigious award.
 
“Being named a top city by TripAdvisor customers suggests that Savannah’s tourism products are meeting the needs of today’s travelers. Visitors obviously enjoy our lodging, dining, shopping and touring options paired with great weather and a nearby beach,” said Marinelli.

Other 2015 Travelers’ Choice Award winners in Savannah include the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the Hamilton-Turner Inn.
