The 84 Lumber Co. is reopening its store at 4020 Ogeechee Road, which gives the company six stores in Georgia.

“Re-opening the Savannah store is a natural extension of our stores operating in Charleston, South Carolina,” said Maggie Hardy Magerko, president and owner of 84 Lumber. “The Savannah store will improve our ability to service our regional customers throughout the Southeast, as well as offer building materials and custom services to both builders and homeowners in the Savannah market.”

In addition to building materials and supplies the Savannah store will have a new custom door shop and kitchen and bath design studio. The design studio works with both contractors and homeowners on kitchen and bath design and installation.

The 9-acre store includes a 20,500-square-foot showroom and warehouse along with another 20,000-square-foot warehouse and 15,600 square feet of storage sheds.

The store manager is Paul Van Dyke, who has held management and sales positions with 84 Lumber. The store and door shop will employ 16 to 20 people.
