Dennis Keene, a partner at Bouhan Falligant, and Jennifer Abshire, founder and CEO of Abshire Public Relations, both recently presented at a seminar, “Investigating and Litigating the Commercial Motor Vehicle Accident.” The workshop, sponsored by Georgia Motor Trucking Association, was held September 11 at the Historic Jekyll Island Club.

The day-long motor vehicle accident seminar provided motor carrier owners, directors and safety managers with the necessary knowledge to ensure accidents are properly investigated and documented. Keene discussed the legal aspects of managing an accident scene and pretrial issues while Abshire explained public relations issues that should be considered and how to respond to media inquiries.

The seminar was held in conjunction with Bouhan Falligant, LLP, Fleet Risk Management, Inc., Logistics Marketing Solutions, and Jacksonville ,Fla.-based Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd Law Firm. In addition to Keene and Abshire, a number of industry leaders spoke on the dynamics of investigating commercial motor vehicle accidents and how to protect the interests of motor carriers.
